This year SKALs International Boarding School took part in CIE`s 6th International Teachers Conference 2010. This year the theme was Educating the global learner: opening up horizons. 180 Teachers from more than 40 countries all over the world took part in the conference, where keynote speakers from the University of Cambridge tried to put learning into a global context.

What skills and knowledge will the Global Learner need in the future?

This question and many more were discussed in the workshops after each lecture, where the teachers could debate and share ideas from all over the world. We enjoyed the conference and came back with a lot of ideas and questions still waiting to be answered. Perhaps the most important question for SKALs was;

How can SKALs continue to be part of the global teaching community and continue to create selfconfident and global responsible learners?
