The Project

Both schools from Finland, Kaarilan Koulu and Denmark, Skals Efterskole will take part in a culturel exchange under the headline “Global Climate Meeting 2011/2012″.

Both classes from each school will communicate through the Internet using mail and social medias. Both classes will visit eachother for a whole week. The first visit will be in Finland (November 2011), and the next visit will be in Denmark (April 2012). Both schools will be responsible for arranging a detailed programme for each visit, where the focus will be on global climate issues.

Planned activities:

Before the exchange will take place, we will work with the following activities:

  • Getting to know eachother “Youth Meeting”; Students recieve partners, communicate through mails, letters, Facebook, Messenger and other social medias.
  • The theme is presented to the students; “Global Climate Meeting”, broadcasted live through a videosession held at Skals Efterskole sent to Finland.
  • Student will also be presented to their own Facebook site; “SKALs GCS 2012″, where they can communicate, upload pictures, links and videos.
  • They will also be presented to the offical website for the project “www.skals-efterskole-international.dk“, where they will be able to find further information regarding the project “Global Climate Meeting 2011/2012″
  • Students recieve “partnership assignments” from Skals Efterskole concerning the global climate. Partners from each country has to communicate and discuss their assignments through their social medias. The assignments will also be discussed when the two exchanges takes place.
